Robert E. Schaff Ltd. has been a family-owned business since 1900 when Edward C. Schaff started the company. His son Edward R. Schaff started selling insurance in 1920. Robert E. Schaff (picture on left), son of Edward R. Schaff started selling insurance in 1945. In 1980 the company was incorporated and became Robert E. Schaff Ltd. In 1990 Robert's wife Suzanne M. Schaff took over operations. Suzanne's grandson, Garett Robert Farrugia, named after his grandfather joined the company in 2011.

Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce
In 2016, Garett Robert Farrugia was recognized by the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce for his collaboration with his colleagues, other business partners, and other local businesses. Most notably his coordination of the Heroes Home Advantage program in our community, Robert E. Schaff Ltd. will donate 25% of their entire company’s commission in cashback, for savings up to $5,000. The Heroes Home Advantage real estate rebate program is available for all members of the military, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, health care professionals, and teachers. Anyone in those lines of profession is eligible, whether they currently or previously served their country.

Insurance & Real Estate’s Vice President, Garett Robert Farrugia was presented the Innovation Award by Dino Fudoli, Town of Lancaster Supervisor, at the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce Award Ceremony! Most notably for bringing new ideas and technology to the agency.
