This year we celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Como Park Tournament with Carl Schaff as the founder. Carl was very fond of Como Park and was often there playing or fostering interest in new players. With his passing, the tournament was renamed in his honor and his wife became a major donor and contributor on a yearly basis. However, the tennis community mourned the loss of Mrs. Agnes Schaff in December 2007 and as such, the Tournament committee has decided to rename the tournament to honor both Carl and Agnes for their contributions to the Lancaster and Depew tennis community.
